A fire in a Greek marina, a new boat from the Turkish Numarine and new outboard engines from Evoy are the main news of the world of yachting from Interparus!
Fire in a Greek marina
On September 7, at about 4:00 pm, four ships caught fire at Gouvia Marina in Corfu, Greece. The fire started on the 29-meter yacht S/Y Halcyon. Then it quickly spread to a catamaran, another yacht and a wooden ketch.
Because of the wind, the fire was able to quickly spread to neighboring ships. Fortunately, more than 15 neighboring ships managed to get out of the fire zone. This helped prevent even more damage. Together with the tugboat Ioannis, 19 firefighters and five vehicles arrived at the scene to put out the fire. The fire on board all four ships was brought under control at approximately 10:00 pm. The fire department tweeted.

There were no reports of casualties, the cause remains unknown. After the incident, preventive barriers were installed in case of sea pollution.
