Yacht Bella from YYachts has been handed over to the owner! Together with Bella, a new series of yachts of the shipyard - Y9 - was launched. Let's explore the new sailing yacht in more detail!
Attention to detail
The exterior design and all of the naval architecture of the new Y9 Bella was created by Bill Tripp. By the way, he has his own design studio - Tripp Design. Bill followed one of the shipyard's big rules, which is to build boats out of carbon fiber.

The main and fundamental principle in the creation of the boat was ease of use. Bill says that he consciously created a boat that even the smallest crew can easily handle. The YYachts team used the entire range of available modern technologies to make life easier for the future owner, but not to deprive him of the joy of real sailing. So, among such technologies, the twisting of the staysail with the use of hydraulics is well known to many.
For the convenience of yachtsmen, the tender garage was located aft. Thanks to Bill's design solutions, the boat has impressive volumes of living and technical premises. The interior space was able to accommodate a master cabin, a separate dressing room, two guest cabins and a bathroom with two sinks.
Y9 Bella main design motif
In general, the yacht can be described by the phrase "neat and soft minimalism without excesses." Clearly, the naval architects were inspired by simple modern Scandinavian elegance. The gray fabrics of the sails and furniture, as well as the oiled oak in the interior, define the overall color palette of the Y9 Bella.

The yacht, despite its apparent simplicity, is quite complex and filled with details. Y9 Bella will be a luxurious haven for the owner, but obviously not an expensive trinket in his hands. The design and functionality of the boat does not contain the bulky frills that are typical of many boats of similar dimensions.
In short, Bill Tripp and the entire Y9 Bella engineering team thought of everything down to the smallest detail. In this boat, there was a place for convenient control, and for a neat Scandinavian interior, and for modern technologies.

Y9 Bella interior
The interiors are covered with wooden panels. In the interior of the yacht, you can often find curved interior elements. They are made of oak and give the space warmth and organicity. Also, thanks to them, a visual effect of stretching the space vertically is obtained. A classic effect that is used to add volume to a room.

There are also sliding doors between cabins on board. Such doors do not take up useful space, it is convenient to fix them in a specific position. Reviewers also note the presence of a large number of comfortable cabinets, shelves, wardrobes, cutlery, etc.
Much attention was paid to the cabins of guests and crew. Bill Tripp jokes: "Happy guests and crew - happy owner." It is worth noting that the crew quarters are indeed larger than you would normally find on yachts of this size. If the owner does not take part in adventures, then the master cabin can be converted into a wardroom.
Ride Y9 Bella
Y9 Bella will be powered by two Volvo engines. The kit also includes a hydroelectric power plant from Oceanvolt. Bimini has a hard top, covered with solar panels.

The mainsail has an area of 242 m2, and the gennaker is 375. It is reported that the boat was able to reach a speed of 26 knots and cover the distance from Greifswald to Cannes in 11 days!
