The new catamaran from the Turkish shipyard VisionF 60 is an example of an interesting project with outstanding solutions. Let's take a closer look at the catamaran!
The new brainchild of a Turkish shipyard
Most recently, the Turkish shipyard VisionF Yachts introduced the concept of a 60-foot (18-meter) catamaran called VisionF 60. The new cat will be the development of the ideas of older models - the 24-meter VisionF 80 catamaran. catamaran, but definitely one of the most powerful.”
Interestingly, the VisionF 80 cases were made of aluminum. In general, the 60th model has retained the overall design - simple but elegant lines, as well as the so-called. sport profile. The catamaran is being developed and built at the Turkish shipyard's own facilities.
The 60th model, unlike the older brother, will be made of fiberglass. The shipyard claims that one of the main advantages of the catamaran will be its width - approximately 10 meters. This allowed the architects and designers to go all out and create large living spaces, a roomy flybridge, and plenty of space for entertaining and relaxing on deck.
Layout, deck and flybridge VisionF 60
According to the good tradition of most shipyards, the layout of the catamaran can be changed at your discretion. So, the galley can be placed directly in the saloon or in one of the buildings. Crew cabins, in turn, can be installed at the stern or in the bow.
The shipyard offers several options for stock layouts. The owner will be able to choose between three or four cabin versions, including the master cabin. The guest cabin can be converted into a gym or a children's room.
Outside, the wide side treadmills merge into one large open bow deck, there is a small but comfortable lounge area with a dining table. On the main deck (aft) there is a large dining table. On the stern of the catamaran there is also a comfortable platform with high sides; there is also a place for a tender. In addition, the platform can be used as a bathing platform.
According to the shipyard, on the flybridge "you will find everything you need to relax." Necessary means places for sunbathing, as well as a place to spend time with family or friends.
VisionF assures that it will fulfill any whim of the client. The shipyard has a long list of possible flybridge modifications, which includes devices and fixtures to equip the lounge area.
Power VisionF 60
On the motor catamaran - in its standard minimum configuration - two diesel engines Volvo Penta IPS 600 with a capacity of 360 hp will be installed. The shipyard claims that the catamaran will be able to reach speeds of around 21 knots.
Interestingly, the draft VisionF 60 will be only 0.6 m when fully loaded on board. Apparently, there will be no problems with the patency of shallow water.
If you are a fan of "green" electricity, then the shipyard has provided for this. Additional solar panels can be installed on the roof of the flybridge. This energy can be used to power the cabins of the catamaran. If with the help of these batteries it was possible to generate more energy than you can use, then special batteries will come to the rescue.
The construction of the first side of the VisionF 60 catamaran should begin in the first quarter of 2023. Already in 2024, it is planned to transfer the cat to the future owner.
