If you've ever had Olympus, you are no stranger to rugged cameras. To achieve this high level, the company uses an all-metal body and double locks on each of the two camera covers. The dual latches make replacing the battery or connecting the cable a little more difficult, but they instill more confidence that the lid won't open when you accidentally bump and drop the camera.

This ruler Olympus has always had impressive macro capabilities for such a compact camera, and TG-6 brings new controls for macro shooting and aperture priority modes. Focusing occurs when the camera takes multiple exposures at slightly different focus points and then combines them to increase depth of field, which is usually lacking in macro photography.
The camera can also shoot 4K / 30p video, and 1080p at up to 60 frames per secondthough video recording will always be limited due to the lack of microphone or headphone jacks. If you want to go the other way, there is also telephoto lenswhich increases the zoom up to 170mm (35mm equivalent).
All additional accessories make the TG-6 much more professional. Camera costs can go up if you want the complete kit, but it's still a lot cheaper than a DSLR. If you want beautiful underwater shots on a reasonable budget, the TG-6 will not disappoint. The camera will be on sale in July and will cost from 499 €.
