Aquila is a conceptual 50 meter sailing yacht equipped with flexible solar panel sails, made possible by the use of CIGS solar cells technology.
This project came about thanks to the idea of creating a new generation of sailboats that follow the latest trend of introducing future technologies into existing boats. The hull of this concept yacht has the following characteristics: - length 50 meters, width 11.2 meters, at the same time the yacht can accommodate up to 10 people.
Design This yacht redefines traditional sailing approaches, highlighting her ability to operate entirely on solar power. All electrical equipment of the yacht uses green technologies. Electricity is generated by sails in the form of solar panels, as well as wind generators.
The yacht of the future with flexible solar sails
The yacht is designed as an environmentally friendly vessel, its appearance specifically repeats the forms that are found in nature. The solid flow aesthetics of the hull completely breaks down traditional yacht design. The flybridge is designed so that guests can fully experience the elements of the ocean, there is a large sunbathing area, pool, chairs, entertainment area and other equipment.
A feature of this project is special smart glazing that allows passengers to have full control of the interior space. Glazing improves energy efficiency by precisely controlling the amount and brightness of light and heat transfer.
