New yacht - CR Yachts 490DS
The Swedish brand Sweden Yachts Group presented a new cruiser of its own production - CR Yachts 490DS. The company says it wanted to “build its own ocean cruiser.”
Designed by a young British architect Ben Rogerson. The company has taken advantage of several highly specialized VPPs (for speed prediction) and CFDs (for calculating ocean hydrodynamics), he said.
Rogerson also says that the yard has spent a lot of time polishing and refining the deck ergonomics to “enhance the sailing experience”. The main task was to create an “aesthetic, but at the same time functional boat”. The yacht is equipped with a genoa and a jib on spins.
