SonarCharts is a bathymetric chart that, with more depth data richness, allows you to display improved bottom detail on your chartplotter screen. SonarCharts are generated automatically and are not intended for navigation. But SonarChart Live is a built-in free feature available on both Apple and Android.

SonarChart Live Is a bathymetric map that allows you to create new personalized maps in HD format that are displayed in real time during navigation. This feature can be activated by wirelessly connecting to the fish finder from your mobile device that has the app installed Navionics boating... Alternatively, it can be displayed directly on the screen of compatible plotters. The new chart appears as an additional layer on top of your map and is also saved to your device for future use.

Each uploaded log SonarCharts benefits you and the entire community Navionics. SonarChart Live automatically generates a data stream shared with Navionicsto improve the application for the sailing community. Navionics combines locator logs from individual users with existing data to make maps more and more accurate, even in the ever-changing sea, lake and river bed conditions. Currently, only Navionics accepts reports from all major location brands and mobile devices.
SonarChart Live Is a great way to track improvements because the outlines are instantly visible when you collect sonar data. You can check the processing status of the logs and see them on the map. New SonarChartderived from yours and other sounder logs checked and interpolated with existing data Navionics, will be available in about a week.
Devices Dragonfly 4, 5 and 7 PRO and Wi-Fish allow SonarChart Live on iPhone, iPad and Android... Both provide locator technology CHIRP DownVision on a split screen while Dragonfly PRO also has a fishfinder as well as a mobile locator SonarPhone T-BOX SP200 and SP300.
Sonar / Chartplotter Modules HDS Gen3 and Elite Ti with built-in wireless connection allow SonarChart Live display app Navionics boating in real time while navigating. Other plotters Lowrance, Simrad and B&G can display SonarChart Live in combination with the module GoFree WIFI-1.
Sonar Server by Digital Yacht Is a router NMEA 0183 Wi-Fi... When used with a compatible chartplotter, it allows SonarChart Live and shows depth values. Other devices from Digital Yacht or other brands may be compatible.




How to use the app on a mobile phone

Close any applications that may have been using the Wi-Fi compatible device. Connect your mobile phone to Wi-Fi, then open the APP Navionics Boating. A new map is created instantly on the screen as you move through the water. Adjust color and opacity with Menu> Chart Options> SonarChart Live Settings. If your logs do not appear on the process status page, close the application and restart it.
How to use the app on Raymarine MFD
To activate SonarChart Live on Raymarine, first turn on the sounder: Go to Menu> Presentation> Depths and Contours> turn on logs... Then go to Advanced map optionsto adjust the transparency SonarChart Live.
Viewing abrupt changes in depth helps to raise awareness of risky situations. The app can also be used to dive by looking at the depth and shape of the seabed before exploring new locations.
