The yachting industry rarely brings us compact boats. Interparus will talk about the new yacht Linjett 36, which should be released soon.
History of the shipyard and the new Linjett 36
Linjett Yachts shipyard was founded in 1973 and since then has been steadily producing yachts of various sizes. The company's main focus is small boats for comfortable sailing in a variety of conditions. Over its more than half-century history, the shipyard has launched about 900 boats.
The company now offers yachts of several models: 34, 39 and 43 feet. For a long time, the vacant place at 36-37 feet in the model range was empty, but Linjett Yachts recently presented its new product. Linjett 36 was the tenth original model in the shipyard's history.

Shipyard manager Staffan Gilleby describes the new yacht: “The hull silhouette has been updated, but the distinctive features of our yachts and the Linjett heritage remain intact. We think we've managed to capture the essence and features of Linjett's design and convey it in a new, captivating format."
At the moment, three buildings have already been sold. The first boat is planned to be launched and delivered to the owner in 2026. The Linjett 36 will be the yard's first model to use a fixed bowsprit, facilitating the use of asymmetrical sails and Code 0 sails.
Deck Linjett 36
The deck of the new Linjett 36 is made in the best traditions of modern yachts. And if usually the phrase “the best traditions of modern yachts” may sound sarcastic, then for the Linjett 36 it is truly a compliment. The deck and hull arrangement is similar to the style Dufour 37 with pleasant rounded outlines.

One of the main features of the deck, according to the shipyard, is the ability to quickly climb onto the yacht through the bow using a fixed bowsprit. There is a sail locker on the forecastle, as well as an automatic furling system for the jib or other sail. The boom is controlled using a German system.
As they say in the press release: “Increasing the size of the cockpit was a natural development of the shipyard’s ideas.” The main emphasis was placed on localizing all yacht controls in one place for the convenience of the skipper during sailing. The Linjett 36 has two helms and comfortable benches behind them. In front of the helms there are two winches for controlling the sails on each side. Alas, there are no tables in the cockpit.

However, there are convenient steps just behind the helms for a quick launch. By the way, it’s an interesting design decision - the boat has a backstay, but if you look closely, you can see how, using a simple block design, it was possible to create a convenient passage to the water without having to step over the cable.
Interior of Linjett 36
The situation with the interior of the yacht Linjett 36 is twofold. The shipyard decided not to chase the number of sleeping places, but to focus on the functionality of the interior. The yacht is equipped with two spacious cabins and one bathroom. And although the design is up to par, the number of cabins and layouts leave much to be desired.

The shipyard's sales manager, Matti Wikholm, explains: “We have focused on creating space for storage and additional equipment, providing owners with a compact but well-equipped yacht.” This solution is ideal for solo trips or small groups, but may not meet the needs of family boaters.
It is too early to draw final conclusions about the interior, since there are no full-length renderings of the interior and layout online. The official display of the boat will allow you to appreciate all the details.
