The new 280-foot superyacht boasts an unusual design and a real functioning helicopter service station.
Exploration and travel - element SY Globalfast
Globalfast officially went to sea on 3 September. She combines an aluminum hull with a powerful propulsion system for superior seaworthiness and speed. In other words, this yacht can quickly take you anywhere in the world.
The 280ft superyacht is the second hull in the Australian yard's all-aluminum Silver World Explorer series. It follows in the footsteps of the sporty yacht Bold, which was launched in 2019. By the way, according to the Robb Report, it was Bold that became the yacht of the week at the beginning of 2022.
Like its predecessor, Globalfast has an “extreme” military-style exterior. The design was developed by the famous naval architect from Monaco, Espen Eino. Silver Yachts founder Guido Krass has previously compared the design to a floating Range Rover. Guido calls Globalfast "the owner of a hyper-masculine aesthetic and formidable strength." However, these two ships are distinguished by color. The novelty has an attractive monochromatic finish, while the Bold is finished in anthracite gray.
Power and helipad
Globalfast has impressive technical specifications. So, the maximum speed is 23 knots and the cruising speed is 17 knots. In addition, the ship has a huge "trunk" for all your water toys.
In particular, there is a 24-hour commercial heliport, a hangar and gas stations. Roughly speaking, there is a functioning working helicopter service station on board. By the way, Bold is also equipped with a certified helicopter landing area, where the AW109 helicopter is located. The expansive aft deck houses a nine-tonne crane that can lift tenders, water toys and more.
Interior
According to the shipyard, the living quarters on board were designed according to the taste of the customer. Alas, there are no details or photos yet. However, it seems to us that the internal structure is similar to the already mentioned Bold.
Bold has a loft-style glazed interior. Guido Crass describes the style as "a classic loft-style apartment somewhere in Manhattan." Also inside the "big sister" Globalfast there is a large master cabin, three VIP cabins and four double cabins. In total, up to 12 guests can be accommodated on board. And that's without the crew.
We assume that stylistically and functionally Globalfast will be close to the previous superyacht from the SuperYachts shipyard.
The handover of Globalfast to the owner is scheduled for October 28th. This is the sixth yacht in Silver's rapidly growing fleet of aluminum vessels.
