The Garmin Quatix 7 is the latest yachting smartwatch from Garmin. They have wide functionality, the possibility of customization and other interesting features.
Garmin Quatix 7
Garmin continues to develop its line of Quatix smartwatches. The seventh version (Garmin Quatix 7) is the latest model in the line at the moment. The line proved to be quite functional and comfortable, for which it fell in love with many yachtsmen.
Naturally, the full capabilities of the watch are revealed in conjunction with other Garmin equipment. This is especially noticeable in the example of the integration of watches and on-board equipment from the same company.
It would be strange if the smart watch did not have a touch screen. Quatix 7 is no exception. Thanks to the sensor, it is possible to control various electronics. One prime example is the Garmin autopilot and various types of audio systems on your yacht.
If you are a watch lover without a touch screen, then the device has the ability to disable this feature. As reviewers say, even without a sensor, the watch justifies its price.
Innovations Garmin Quatix 7
It's funny that the main difference between the Quatix 7 and the older model Quatix 6 is the display. Among the problems of the older model, an excessively dark screen was singled out, which was problematic to use.
Garmin solved this problem in a simple but tasteful way - the screen itself was made a little brighter and added a backlight. At the same time, that the brightness itself has not increased very much, the backlight saves the day. At the same time, due to the backlight, the battery of the device is draining a little faster than we would like.
In order to save battery power, a special night mode is provided. When the mode is activated, a digital or “analogue” minimalistic dial remains on the screen. There is also a sleep mode.
Battery life is not the strong point of the watch, but the performance is not the worst. Quatix 7 holds a charge for about 6 days before the next charge. At the same time, the 7th model has the same dimensions as the 6th version. Interestingly, the watch has a MOB button for emergencies.
Quatix 7 is an example of a multifunction device in a good way. In addition to basic functions (displaying time, all of a sudden), the device can become a reliable partner not only in sea travel, but also land travel.
The watch has a convenient communication interface with a mobile application, thanks to which all the collected information can be structured and tracked. Are you rowing, cycling, active yachting; Whether you are sleeping or awake, Quatix 7 will help you track your activity and, if necessary, correct it.

With the help of the same application, it is possible to enter user data, settings and presets. No need to fiddle with information on the small display of the watch - it's much faster and more enjoyable to do it from your smartphone.
Should I buy Quatix 7? If you have a Quatix 6 and are happy with the device, then no. If you have not yet experienced all the conveniences of smart watches or the owner of older versions of Garmin watches, definitely yes. Especially these watches will be useful to those whose life is connected with the sea, yachting and water recreation. A huge number of convenient features will make your life much easier.
Other advantages of the watch include the ease of changing straps. Do you like to change style often or old straps are completely worn out? It does not matter at all, because the Quatix 7 straps can be easily removed and replaced. Comes with two interchangeable straps.
Of the obvious advantages, we note a large and easy to read dial. Also, one cannot but rejoice at the number of really useful functions that will come in handy for any yachtsman. Even if you don't have any other Garmin products.
Of the minuses, of course, the battery life is not as good as it could be. Also, for some, the touch screen may not be very convenient.
