The Fountaine Pajot shipyard recently announced a new product – New 41. Interparus will tell you everything that is known about the new cruise catamaran.
What is known about New 41?
It seems like just recently Fountaine Pajot announced the gigantic New 80, which soon received the beautiful and sonorous name Thira. And now, a year later, Fountaine Pajot pleases us again with a new product, and not a simple one. The shipyard presented a small, but very interesting catamaran.

The New 41 has not yet received a name – as with other models of the shipyard, the name will be revealed later. And rest assured that the name will be no less stylish than the catamaran itself. Only renderings are available for now, but we can already say that this is one of the most interesting multihulls in terms of design.
The length of the New 41 will be about 12 meters (11.93 to be exact). In the size grid of the model range, the New 41 occupies a place between Isla 40 and Astrea 42The width will be 6.92 meters.

As with the shipyard's latest catamaran models, the New 41 will be available with both internal combustion engines and electric drives. The Smart Electric version (like the Aura 51) will feature two 25 kW engines, a 16 kW generator, a 3 kW inverter, a battery bank (2 batteries of 21 kWh) and hydro generation will be available.
Deck New 41
As you may have understood, the New 41 inherits many features from other Fountaine Pajot catamarans. The deck and steering post arrangement are a clear example of this. On the bridge between the hulls, there is a small bow cockpit with a large sofa for relaxation. The aft cockpit is equipped with comfortable seats and a table for snacks.

The same stern section also features a convenient hydraulic bathing platform. On the starboard side, closer to the midship, is the steering post. Immediately behind it is a modest flybridge, closer to the edge of the flybridge is a mainsheet track. The steering post is compact but functional. All sail controls are located directly behind the steering wheel. Large contrasting chart plotter screens are installed in front of the steering wheel.
Salon New 41
There are two versions of the New 41 available to owners, each with a different cabin layout. The first version is the Maestro. This version offers the owner 1 master cabin with a private bathroom and 2 guest cabins with a shared bathroom. The second layout of the Maestro version is the same large master cabin with a private bathroom and 2 guest cabins with individual bathrooms. In this version, the left float of the catamaran is completely at the owner's disposal.

The second version of the New 41 is called Quatuor and also has two layouts. The first layout provides 4 double cabins with two heads or a skipper's cabin. The second layout of Quatuor can be assembled at the owner's request.

The saloon is compact but cleverly designed, with a galley on the port side. In the centre of the saloon is a large settee with a miniature coffee table. The aft cockpit and saloon are separated by impressive sliding doors. When these doors are open, a feeling of seamless space is created. On the starboard side, just ahead of the doors leading to the saloon, is a ladder to the helm. Large skylights in the floats provide ample natural light.
Conclusion on New 41
The new model from Fountaine Pajot looks intriguing. On the one hand, fans probably expected a larger catamaran, something in the style of last year's Thira 80. On the other hand, the New 41 is a compact wonder - it has everything you need for comfortable cruising and even a little more.

We'll learn more about the new product over time, but preliminary impressions are positive. The cockpits have plenty of room to relax, and the interiors should be roomy and comfortable.
