Canadian BRP Group will accelerate the development of electric vehicles on land and at sea. Jet ski owner Seadoo has announced a $ 300 million investment in electric mobility for five years.
Electric model across all BRP lines by 2026
The Canadian BRP group has shown its willingness to accelerate the advent of electromobility, especially at sea.
BRP is investing $ 300 million over five years to offer a fully electric model for every destination (road, snow and water) and for every product line. The first production model is due to be presented by 2023.
Industrial investment in electric motors and batteries
To implement its strategy, BRP will invest on both sides of the Atlantic.
The company will expand its subsidiary in Austria (Gunskirchen) and open a new energy center in Walcourt, Quebec.
