Yachting Festival De Cannes 2021 - in a nutshell

Yachting Festival De Cannes - a few words about history

Since 1977, the Yachting Festival has been held every September in an elegant, luxurious setting on the sparkling bay of Cannes.

The Yacht Festival, the first show in the boating season, is Europe's leading water sports event. Major yachting players come here to kick off the show season with their new premiere.

Yachting Cannes Festival is not only the first, but also one of the largest and most legendary events. This year it took place on September 7-12. 

The exhibition was attended by about 430 participants. In total, more than 600 boats of various lengths (from 3 to 45 meters) were delivered. 

The festival presented over 140 premieres of new boats. This is 10 percent more than in 2019.

Venues

The places where you could see and touch new and used yachts are no less interesting.

So, the first on the list is Vieux Port de Cannes. This port was erected in the gray 50s almost in the very center of Cannes. It is famous for its picturesqueness and high concentration of expensive and prestigious yachts. 

Vieux Port has become the base for all motor yachts, superyachts and motorized multihull boats. There were also many stands with engines, systems, equipment and other accessories. 

Port Canto is the second on the list of interesting places. It is located between lush greenery on the famous Croisette and the azure blue of the Bay of Cannes. combines glamor and serenity. And what a view of the Lerins archipelago!

For the second time in a row, Port Kanto has become a “haven” for sailing. By the way, 110 single-hull and multi-hull vessels, a brokerage and charter platform were shown there.

Well, and probably the most interesting thing for practicing yachtsmen is the Port Canto water area. There you could try new and used yachts live, appreciate the beauty of the local waters and just enjoy a walk under the gentle sun.

The most interesting thing I saw

Let's start with Vieux Port. Many new boats were presented at its stands. Among them were the extremely interesting Gran Turismo 45, Gran Turismo 62. 

In addition, it was interesting to see Gran Turismo 36 and 41, Swift Trawler 41 Fly, Montecarlo 52, Flyer 7 SUNdeck, Flyer 10, Antares 11 Fly.

Of the interesting things in Port Canto, we were shown boats of the Oceanis series (40.1 b 51.1), Oceanis Yacht (54 and 62).

Unexpectedly pleased with the premiere of a new boat - Silent 55.

They also showed 5 interesting boats in action at once: ICE 70, Elan GT6, J / 45, Swan 58 and Hallberg-Rassy 50 (photo below in the same order).
