Photographer Jonathan Jagot, 19, has lived on a boat since he was eight. Although he was born in France, half of his life was spent in French Polynesia and New Caledonia. For almost ten years, he and his family have been traveling the world aboard their catamaran, and Jonathan himself has found another passion in his life ... he takes breathtaking pictures of wild animals, and his work has already received many awards!

According to Jonathan, he is incredibly fascinated by nature and its diversity on different continents. He always loved nature and animals, and was passionate about their protection, but he started taking the first pictures about 5 years ago in Malaysia, where nature for the first time so deeply conquered his heart, with its incredible beauty.
His collection already has stunning pictures of whales, antelopes and lemurs, and he definitely has his keen vision in photography. Four years after he first picked up a camera, in 2015 Jonathan received one of the most prestigious awards in the world - BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Jonathan definitely had an unusual upbringing. His family is still very closely associated with New Caledonia, which has long been their home. His parents buy unique jewelry and cosmetics from their travels, which are then sold in New Caledonia. For a teenager, life on board a yacht means no school in the traditional sense, but this did not interfere with his academic pursuits. He studied boating, part-time school, for five years, and passed his exams in Martinique in 2015.

Jonathan believes that by skipping the ordinary life of a teenager, he experienced a completely different life and received an excellent education in a different way. Discovering the whole world aboard a sailing boat and living at sea was his parents' dream, but ultimately gave a huge boost to his own future.
Passing through the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific oceans, his favorite places are Madagascar, Namibia and the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, mainly because for him, these places are the most authentic, with fantastic wildlife, unique animals and magnificent landscapes.
