As part of the presentation of major projects for 2021, the mayor of Saint-Nazaire (region Pei de la Loire, department Loire atlantic, France) Samzun returned to receiving pleasure boats.

In addition, the type of management of the remainder of the port remains to be determined.

Marina design varies in scale and location.
The hypothesis, which was abandoned in 2019, called for the installation of about a hundred rings at Quai du Commerce, near the former submarine base.
The costs of cleaning the site have raised the project price to € 40 million, and the new site envisaged by the project is Quai Demange, on the other side of the pool, in the Petit Maroc area.
It will house 80 boats, moored on pontoons and cutways, with the necessary shore services, reception and sanitary equipment.

Naval targets of Saint-Nazaire
The announcement of the event described comes at a time when the city of Saint-Nazaire is constantly declaring its desire to be a reference point for water sports.
The port particularly welcomed the arrival of the Solitaire du Figaro 2020.
The municipality wants to make the marina a lively place, thanks in part to the availability of pleasure boats.
