The new business, Volvo Energy, will provide batteries and battery charging solutions to other parts of the Volvo Group, as well as offer refurbished used batteries to external customers. The new business will also be responsible for hydrogen infrastructure solutions for fuel cell electric vehicles.
The international Volvo Group has declared its commitment to better serve its customers by accelerating the electrification process in pursuit of sustainable transport solutions.

With Volvo Energy, we create a holistic view of the entire life cycle, which benefits both our customers' business and society as a whole, ”says Martin Lundstädt, President and CEO of Volvo Energy.
The new Volvo Energy division is expected to not only provide batteries and charging solutions for other areas of the group's operations, but also offer customers used, remanufactured and refurbished batteries for use in a variety of applications.
Volvo Energy will also be responsible for hydrogen infrastructure solutions for fuel cell electric vehicles.
