This year marks the half century of New England's largest boat show, the Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), and the celebration will be held in person.
Newport Exhibition Group Exhibition Director Nancy Piffard said: “We are delighted to start the season in person this year ... We are confident that by mid-September the majority of our population will be vaccinated and we will be able to offer a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
We will of course adhere to state and local guidelines such as mandatory mask wearing, contactless ticketing and scheduled, phased entry to ensure effective social distancing. "
The dates of the exhibition were also announced, which will take place on September 16-18 from 10.00 to 18.00, and on Sunday 19 September from 10.00 to 17.00.
Tickets will be sold in limited quantities and will go on sale in mid-June.
The Newport International Boat Show (NIBS) is one of the largest and most prestigious yachting shows in the country and covers over thirteen acres of historic downtown Newport, Rhode Island.
Walk along the docks and see an impressive display of shiny new sailboats and powerboats, some of which will debut for the first time in the United States.
On the overland side, you will find hundreds of marine products, services and accessories that will enhance the boating lifestyle.
September yacht show dates and stunning location are additional benefits for visitors.
Set amid stunning coastal landscapes, national historic landmarks, trendy boutiques and world-class restaurants, the boat show combines your passion for yachting with the Newport experience amid New England's autumn beauty.
