In the not too distant future, namely on the 50th anniversary of the legendary Golden Globe Race of 1968-69, it was decided in 2018 to organize the Longue Route 2018 round-the-world regatta, which is somewhat different in format from the previously held and such usual (worn-out) ones.

Longue Route 2018: Dedicated to the memory of the great French traveler Bernard Muatessier

In the near future, namely on 50th anniversary of the legendary Golden globe Race 1968-69 biennium, it was decided to organize a round-the-world regatta in 2018 Longue Route 2018, which is somewhat different in format from those previously held and so familiar (accustomed).
The event implies such a "get-together" among the same "Moremans" and romantics, such as himself Bernard Moitessier... There will be no exact route as such. Everyone will choose him for himself.
From the terms and conditions only the length of the yachts, which should not exceed 52 feet. Therefore, there will be no winners or losers.
The launch is scheduled from June 18 to September 30, 2018 from one of the ports located above 45 degrees north latitude in Europe or 41 degrees on the east coast of the United States.
The end of this journey and the gathering of the entire flotilla - in the town Le Bono, on the coast Brittany, France (where Muatessier's grave is located), in early summer 2019. There, a number of events will take place in honor of the famous yachtsman.
