Due to the health crisis, the 2020 Nautic Yachting Innovation Competition will be held online
A dematerialized springboard for the inventors of the yachting of the future.
The Federation of Maritime Industries (Fédération des Industries Nautiques) and its subsidiary responsible for organizing Nautiques in Paris were forced to withdraw from the Paris Yacht Show in December 2020.
In support of this sector, in early January, the Yacht Companies Alliance confirmed the creation of the Virtual Nautic, a virtual yacht show, scheduled to take place on 12 and 13 March 2021.
The organizers also announced that an innovation competition will be held in the conference room format, which has been held since 2018 on the occasion of the Nautic exhibition.
The event will continue its work in new conditions. Its goal is to showcase inventions that will shape the future of the yachting market.
The final of the competition will take place on Saturday 13 March 2021 on the stage of the Virtual Nautic, a digital transposition of the marine stage.
“This success has allowed us to raise the profile of Falco and, a few months later, is helping to open doors in our market,” said Elsa Nicol, President of Wattson Elements, 2019 winner in the Services category for yacht connectivity offerings.
Focus on transition to the maritime sector
The organizers focused on environmental aspects and boat renewal for this particular publication.
“Meeting the new challenges posed by the health crisis will also be an advantage,” says the Federation of Maritime Industries. Project leaders, regardless of whether they offer physical products or services, must submit their applications by February 14, 2021. The winner will win a stand at the Nautica 2021 exhibition.
