Classic Bond films

There are not so many sailing yachts in classic Bond films. But among them there are interesting specimens. A Glastron GT-150 boat was featured in the chase scene in the movie Live and Let Die. The scene itself is about 10 minutes long. As it became known after filming, about 26 Glastrons of different models were used in total, but most of all it was the GT-150. There were 9 of them involved.

Kingdom 5KR in the movie Never Say Never also had an interesting story. After participating in the film with Sean Connery, she was bought by the Sultan of Brunei and resold to future US President Donald Trump. In 1991, it was bought by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. Today this yacht can be seen in Antibes on the Cote d'Azur.

Another motor superyacht is Trafalgar (formerly Moonmaiden II). She is entertaining in the scene in which she was filming. The yacht itself was on fire, and Bond parachute spectacularly lands on the burning deck. Now Trafalgar is up for sale, you can buy it for $ 2,500,000.

Soufrière and Casino Royale at Casino Royale

"Casino Royale" became a new milestone in the history of James Bond. In 2006, the role of Bond was tried on by Daniel Craig, and sailing yachts began to flash on the screen much more often. The first one is Soufrière. This is a boat model Spirit 54 from the shipyard Spirit Yachts. The classic design and elegance of the yacht immediately catches the eye.

In the film, Bond, along with his companion Vesper Lind, visited the canals of Venice on Spirit 54. Today, a yacht can be bought for quite adequate money - $ 534,000.

While Bond (Daniel Craig) and Lind (Eva Green) enjoyed the beauties of Venice aboard the Soufrière, Agent Le Chiffre's nemesis (played by Mads Mikkelsen) sailed around on the 32m motor yacht Casino Royale. The sailing yacht is a two-masted gulet schooner. This type of sailing vessel is especially popular in Turkey (the regions of Bodrum and Marmaris), but they can be found throughout the eastern tip of the Mediterranean Sea. The gulet is 55 meters long and was built by the Pruva shipyard a year before the release of the film - in 2011. The boat is currently located in Greece.

Spirit 46 in No Time to Die

Apparently, James Bond is a fan of the shipyard Spirit Yachts. The second time we saw Bond on screen was on a Spirit Yachts yacht in 2021, at the height of the pandemic. Then the Agent appeared before us aboard the Spirit 46.
