Every year, more than one million visitors from abroad and Germany gather for the excellent Elbe Ship Festival, which brings together ships from all over the world.
It is necessary to attend the birthday party of the Hamburg port. Due to the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, this time is even a day longer than usual: from 5 to 8 May. Around 300 floating guests from many areas of the art of shipbuilding signed up for the mega-party. In addition, there is a celebration program. Everyone is invited to board sports sailboats and other sailing guests, including the Marine Corps and government watercraft.
For a vacation experience, there are a total of nine cruise ships that enter and leave the port. From entertainment, port museums, fish markets, gourmet shops, markets with marine accessories, entertainment venues and much more are also open. The Speicherstat, which has been included in the UNESCO heritage list since last summer, will also have celebrations.
