Just as American yachtsmen began reclaiming the seas after the quarantine spring, French sailing yacht manufacturer Dufour Yachts, now part of Fountaine Pajot Groups, announced the release of an innovative model.

It is expected to debut next fall in North America at the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland. It is part of a plan to expand its East Coast dealer network, which stretches south from New York to Florida.
Atlantic Cruising Yachts (ACY), based in Annapolis, is the largest Fountaine Pajot dealer in the world. The company will now unveil a new line of Dufour cruising monohulls. It was previously the largest Jeanneau dealer in the United States. ACY has additional offices in Charleston, South Carolina, and Fort Lauderdale and St. Petersburg in Florida. In addition - Waypoints charter network with bases or partners in Maryland, Florida, Bahamas and the Caribbean.

ACY's Chris Bent said the company sells an average of more than 50 new yachts annually and is expected to see sales continue to grow. About half of these boats participate in Business Yacht Ownership programs, which include various charter options.
The Dufour line has nine models, all designed by Umberto Felci, from the 310 to the new flagship Dufour 61, which will arrive in the US in 2021. New for 2020 will be Dufour 530 with some amenitiesfocused specifically on Americans: American-size cup holders, air conditioner, generator set and lifting keel. The interior layout includes three to five cabins. Three exterior versions are also available: Easy, Ocean and Performance.
Also ACY and Dufour are planning to hold several joint shows in the fall in Maryland and Florida.
