A new interesting concept of a sailing yacht for racing and cruising from the young brand Ice Yachts. Interparus shares details about Ice 64 Explorer!
Ice Yachts is a relatively young Italian brand. However, the shipyard’s cooperation is more than extensive - the company works with such eminent yacht designers as Umberto Felci, implements projects from the famous design company Felci Yacht Design, and has many well-known yachts in narrow circles. Most recently, the shipyard presented the concept of a new yacht called Ice 64 Explorer. What can Ice Yachts offer to potential yacht owners?
What is known about Ice 64 Explorer?
Ice Yachts has put, as reviewers say, “smooth and comfortable sailing” at the forefront. The Ice 64 Explorer will have two helms and a dual rudder. It was also decided to reduce the draft as much as possible - this way the yacht will be able to navigate even in shallow water.

Unlike the classic bimini, the boat has a carbon Hard-Top. The solution, frankly speaking, is not for everyone, but why not? Among the advantages is that full-size solar panels will be installed on the roof of the hard top, which can significantly increase the autonomy of the yacht. In any case, this is a good solution for a yacht that is focused on long passages and long races. In addition, the hard top is equipped with gutters to collect rainwater.
The stern also did not remain without interesting modifications. Here Ice Yachts engineers decided to make room for a full-size tender. The idea itself is interesting, but the lack of a normal bulwark on the transom is a little confusing.

It does not look very safe, given that in the absence of a tender there is direct access to the water from the cockpit. Among the interesting things I would like to highlight is the rather original stern sloop-beam for launching the tender.
The hull of the yacht will be manufactured using molds, the so-called. hybrid fibers and lamination. This approach ensures optimal structural rigidity, as well as reduced noise and vibration.
Ice 64 Explorer interior
The interior design of the yacht was developed jointly with Felci Yacht Design. According to the official Ice Yachts website, the standard version includes 3 cabins. At the bow of the hull there is a large master cabin. This cabin is notable for its large bed and private bathroom. The other two cabins are located at the stern.

Interestingly, one of the aft cabins can be converted into a work space, storage area or large wardrobe. There is a large galley in the salon. Its key feature is that its workspaces are located on both the starboard and port sides.
A little closer to the midships there is a huge dining area with large sofas. Sofas can easily be converted into extra beds.
