A new yacht in a bright but pleasant style - even Barbie will be jealous! In a new material, Interparus will talk about the new Baltic 80 Custom Emma!
New trends in yacht building
If you think that the Baltic 80 Custom, called Emma, is the first yacht that Barbie might have her eye on, then you are mistaken. Since the fall of last year, yachts of very interesting colors began to appear more and more often. Emma's predecessors also included a catamaran from VisionF with a bright pink hull (left), as well as a Pink Gin VI with bright pink accents in the interior (right).
Emma, apparently, is taking up the baton. The Baltic Yachts shipyard has decided to diversify the color palette of its custom yachts and the new yacht in the line will have a pleasant pastel pink color.
In fact, the Baltic 80 Custom Emma is notable not only for the color of its sides. As before, the shipyard is making every effort to ensure that the new yacht is not only beautiful in appearance, but also a universal solution for its owner.
Features Baltic 80 Custom Emma
The Baltic Yachts shipyard positions Emma as a multi-purpose sailing superyacht. According to the designers, this yacht is capable of performing equally well both on a long cruise and a sprint on the race track.
Like other yachts in the Baltic Custom series, Emma was commissioned by “an unnamed owner with extensive yachting experience who would like to get the most out of his new yacht.” The stated length of Emma will be 24 meters.
Among the interesting voiced features of the sailing yacht: an automatic jib and a system for furling the mainsail into the boom. And although the sail rig is still in doubt, most likely the yacht will have a full set of headsails on board. The yacht has dual rudders and a lifting keel. The power plant is traditional, the propeller is folding.
The shipyard did not report the maximum speed of the yacht, but according to the assurances of authorized officials, Emma “should become an excellent cruiser that will take first places in regattas.”
The yacht will be equipped with a huge garage for water toys, which will be located on the transom. Inside the garage it will be possible to place a Williams 385 tender (3.9 m) or similar in size.
Design Baltic 80 Custom Emma
The deck and cockpit design was done by the German studio Judel/Vrolijk & Co. The design studio managed to achieve pleasant smooth lines along the entire length of the body. In combination with the color of the sides, the body looks unusually airy and light.
Like its predecessors in the Custom line, the new yacht will be built using the latest composite materials. The technology for creating environmentally friendly and durable “sandwich” cases (when the case materials are laid in several layers) has not gone away; The keel, bulkheads and sides will have foam cores to reduce the weight of the yacht. It will be possible to install a bimini on the cockpit.
There will also be three double cabins (for 6 guests) and one separate cabin for two crew members. Designers and architects Jens Paulus, Axel Vervoordt, as well as representatives of Baltic Yachts will work on the design of the premises. Unfortunately, there are no images of the interior yet.
Construction of the Baltic 80 Custom Emma is already underway. Launching and delivery to the owner is planned for the summer of 2024.
