Simon Bitterlich confidently won the Men's Wave Masters at the opening of the world's largest water sports show in Düsseldorf. The 20-year-old boy easily and smoothly saddled the wave from citywave ®, made the fewest mistakes and demonstrated the most beautiful movements. In addition, in the second round of the citywave ® pro World Tour 2019, he made this wave on his own.

Sven Heller (Lucerne) and Sebastian Steinbeck (Starnberg) finished second and third in the thrilling men's competition. The event was held on Saturday and started with a preliminary qualifying round.

For Simon Bitterlich this is the second triumph of the boat show. At 17, he won a stormy premiere at the Düsseldorf boat show Wave Masters 2017.
Valeska Schneider - the winner among women
At the starting field, an experienced 28-year-old Valeska Schneider from Munich made the most of her chances. She managed to get around 19-year-old Rosina Neurer (Munich), and that, with a margin of only 0.37 points, took second place. Third place went to Annicke Bollag from Zurich, Switzerland.

Valeska Schneider was one of the strongest all-rounders among the other eight participants. She enjoys surfing both in the sea and on an artificial wave, which she is now concentrating on.
The girl received her master's degree in health, having managed to become four times champion on the shortboard among universities in Germany and twice - on the longboard. Now she is training hard to take the top spot in citywave ® pro World Tour 2020 with the summer finale in Japan.
