Metstrade 2025, the leading B2B exhibition in the yachting industry, kicks off next week. Interparus will share some exciting behind-the-scenes details!
Last year's figures and current ambitions
The year is gradually drawing to a close, but that doesn't mean the exhibitions are over. Get ready, Metstrade 2025 is just around the corner! Experts and seasoned yachtsmen know what this exhibition is all about, but for the rest, we'll explain: Metstrade is the largest yachting exhibition focused on business. You won't find ordinary yachtsmen and boat owners here; all attention is focused on business and industry representatives.
Last year, Metstrade attracted 31,824 visitors, 19,779 of whom were exceptional industry experts. This year, the venue will be even more vibrant—more innovations, more contacts, more ideas that will shape the future of yachting and the maritime industry.
METSTRADE 2025 will reopen at Amsterdam's RAI Center from November 18th to 20th, and promises to be the largest ever. Organizers of the world's largest maritime equipment exhibition are preparing to welcome over 1,600 exhibitors and present expanded pavilions, bringing together the best in shipbuilding, engineering, and marine technology. A total of 30 (!) equipment pavilions will be on display at the exhibition.
One country - one pavilion
METSTRADE is further divided into so-called country pavilions, organized by participating countries. This year, 20 countries will share 30 pavilions, including Estonia, which will have its own pavilion for the first time.
General layout of the METSTRADE 2025 exhibition
A separate exhibition area in Pavilion 11 will be dedicated to building materials, including sustainable composites, coatings, adhesive technologies, and 3D printing. The superyacht area has expanded this year, occupying halls 8, 9, and 10.
The exhibition will feature an educational program, a service and repair area, a skippers' club, and the new Harbor 8 space, where the Boat Builder Awards ceremony will take place. Additionally, the exhibition will feature areas dedicated to yacht shipyards and shipbuilding, diving technologies, and two areas—one for pleasure yachts and the other for superyachts.
The exhibition will feature a new stage called the USA Stage, created in collaboration with NMMA, IBEX, and Soundings Trade Only. Its goal is to provide industry participants from both sides of the Atlantic with the opportunity to discuss current challenges and prospects for international collaboration.
The Young Professionals Club will also return in an expanded format: the minimum age for participation will be lowered to 16, and the program will focus on students and aspiring professionals. Hall 13 will host the finalists of the Boat Builder Awards and DAME Design Awards, as well as the Next Gen Zone—a space for companies developing eco-friendly and sustainable technologies.
Exhibition Manager Patricia Becker noted: "This will be the most exciting METSTRADE ever. Visitors are encouraged to make the most of it: meet future and new colleagues, share experiences, discover new solutions, participate in the educational program, and be inspired to innovate on their own."
Exhibition program
METSTRADE has confirmed the stage program and content for the 2025 edition. The program covers five thematic areas, where key industry topics will be discussed, including cost, supply chains, shipping compliance, consumer behavior, and general economic challenges. Le Boat Managing Director Cheryl Brown will open the exhibition, sharing her experience and insights, and then meet with members of the Young Professionals Club.
Each day, METSTRADE's main stage will host meetings featuring industry associations. Also planned are sustainability workshops from Marine Impact Lab and a startup competition organized by Yachting Ventures.
Other platforms include the North America Stage, dedicated to the US and Canadian markets, and the Superyacht Stage, which will discuss design, modernization, and technology. The Young Professionals Club will offer sessions on leadership and corporate culture, and the Foiling Stage will focus on the design, development, and sustainability of the rapidly growing hydrofoil segment.
Additional activities
The METSRADE 2025 program will also include:
- The DAME Design Awards 2025 is a competition for the best marine equipment design. Products are judged on innovation, functionality, and sustainability. The finalists will be on display in Hall 13, and the winners will be announced on November 18. All proceeds will go to the Ocean Conservation Trust.
- Women in Marine Industry International is a meeting and panel discussion for women in the maritime industry. It will take place on November 19th, with the theme "Navigating in Today's Global Marketplace." Participation is free and open to both men and women.
- The Metstrade Startups Zone features two startup zones: one for leisure yachting and one for 24m+ superyachts. Innovations in electric propulsion, AI design, sustainable materials, and autonomous systems will be showcased. The zone will also host a pitch competition for young companies.
