Casio has unveiled its first G-SHOCK smartwatch in a rugged GSW-H1000 case that has been designed to work with Google's Wear operating system.
New smart watch G-SHOCK - GSW-H1000 - equipped with the latest technology! Optical heart rate sensor, compass, altitude / air pressure sensor, accelerometer, hydrometer and GPS. Everything you need for deep monitoring!
G-SHOCK - a step forward for Casio
The color screen with a diagonal of 1.2 inches has a three-level display system. It is user-configurable and allows you to see a wide variety of data at a glance.
Although the watch itself is not purely yachting, it has a wide range of possibilities. So, having access to a set of Google Play applications, the watch can become an indispensable travel companion.
The number of applications is enough to satisfy the needs of any yacht lover! Believe me, there is everything - and for any occasion.
Toughie
Like other G-SHOCK products, the case is shock resistant and waterproof. The declared maximum immersion depth was 200 meters!
Despite the thickness of the glass necessary to maintain the integrity of the watch at this depth, the G-SHOCK smartwatch still has a touchscreen. It is he who helps to reveal the full potential of the watch to the fullest.
That being said, Casio smartwatches have much longer battery life than the competition. This is made possible thanks to the less intensive use of the battery.
Outcomes
Corrosion resistance will be an additional bonus. And this is especially important for sailors - remember what sea salt water does to metals and any other material in long-term interaction.
The watch has titanium protection on the back and titanium carbide directly in the case. The wear resistance has increased significantly!
Let's say openly - G-SHOCK did not become a sensation. But that was not what was expected of them. While the giants of the market (for example, Apple with its Apple Watch) are trying to go in a revolutionary way, Casio has gone evolutionary.
Compared to previous Casio products and their closest competitors, this watch looks like a decent bug fix and a move forward. Of course, all this is a matter of taste, but such a watch will definitely become faithful companions who will not only tell the time!
