The Multihull of the Year Award is an annual international award designed to recognize and honor the best multihull yachts in the world by Multihulls World magazine. Every year the best catamarans and trimarans, sailing and power, in different categories are nominated for this prestigious award.

2018 Multihull of the Year Award Nominees
April 19, 2018 the main event of the year for multihull manufacturers will take place, namely International Multihull Showwhere the winners will be announced at the award ceremony 2018 Multihull of the Year Award.

The prize is awarded to yachts in four nominations:
- Up to 40 feet
- 40 to 50 feet
- Over 50 feet
- Motor multihull yachts
To qualify for the nomination, new models had to be presented for the first time, between the award ceremony and the bot show in 2017 and 2018. According to the rules, the nominees are selected by journalists Multihulls world and organizers International Multihull Boat Showand the winners are chosen by the public and not by editorial judges.
We are pleased to announce that the Fountaine Pajot catamarans have been nominated for the award, in two of four categories:
Sailing catamaran Saona 47 in the 40 to 50 feet category, and power catamaran MY 44 in the category Motor multihull yachts.
Recall that Saona 47 was named the best cruising catamaran of 2018, in the 40-50 feet category in the USA, according to Sail Magazine, and became the winner in category "Best multihull sailing yacht up to 15 meters" in Asia, according to the magazine Yacht Style.

Have MY 44 no less awards, he was recognized the best motor catamaran for long-distance cruises of 2018, according to the prestigious British magazine Motor Boat & Yachting, and was named the best motor yacht for long sailing in the 35-45 feet category, according to the version BOOTE Magazin.
