New Uship Stores
Uship continues to expand its network in France. Uship is a chain of marine equipment stores.
Three new stores join the company, which now has over 140 stores. it Uship Strasbourg Offendorf Nautic Port on the Rhine, Uship dieppe with the concession of Bénéteau and Suzuki QG Nautic and Uship agay esterel nautic in Var.
New pier for catamarans in Port Saint-Louis du Rhône
About two weeks ago, the commune of Port Saint-Louis du Rhône inaugurated a new pontoon dedicated to multihull yachts. The pontoon is 500 meters long and can accommodate up to 45 catamarans.
Its construction took 7 months of work and 1.1 million euros. This project is primarily part of the local yachting policy. In particular, the program includes the creation of a center for large pleasure craft. By the way, the initiative is being implemented with the support of a local state-owned company in charge of managing the port.
Technohull expands
The Greek manufacturer of rigid hull inflatable boats Technohull is strengthening its production capacity. The company has launched a new plant in Lavrio.
More than 20 million euros have been invested in the Technohull plant. In addition, the scale of the new plant is impressive, with an area of 12,000 square meters with a reserve of 16,000 square meters.
As a consequence, this capacity will allow Technohull to continue its growth in the luxury boat segment from 25 to 45 feet.
Cross-border port agreement
The Union of the Ports of Occitania (UVPO) and the Association of Sports and Tourist Ports of Southern Catalonia (ACPET) entered into a two-year partnership agreement on Monday 29 November 2021.
Both organizations will collaborate in several areas:
- implementation of best practices for navigation in natural parks,
- exchange of experience in environmental protection,
- support for cross-border sporting events,
- joint promotion of shipping between the two regions,
- information exchange,
- industry research.
There is no doubt that in this way the regions will receive a powerful impetus in the development of the maritime and yachting industry.
New commercial agency for ocean racing
Øconnection announces the creation of its commercial agency ØLarge. What follows from this?
Øconnection is a press agency for the sailing market. ØLarge's new division will help organize and sponsor big ocean races. Moreover, ØLarge already oversees the projects of 7 skippers.
