Steve Kozloff's concepts have always had a high degree of eccentricity. The Trident was no exception.
Steve Kozloff again presents his unusual (we would say pretentious) project. Most recently, in April, Steve presented the 170-meter gigayacht Glory to the public. While Glory is looking for an investor, Steve wasted no time.

The new creation of Kozloff was the two-masted super trimaran The Trident. The length of the trimaran will be 100 meters and will have six decks. In addition, it is assumed that there will also be two helipads on board!
Fancy Masts and Solid Sail
After the scandal with the new yacht of Jeff Bezos (the founder of Amazon), many engineers and designers have adopted the mechanism of lowering masts. For a project of the scale of The Trident, this is a very good solution.

The masts will be able to tilt forward 70 degrees, allowing a trimaran to pass under almost any large bridge. So if The Trident has to call at the Panama Canal, San Francisco, San Diego or any other big port, then there should be no problems.

The trimaran is also equipped with the Solid Sail system. Thanks to Solid Sail, it becomes possible to automate the process of raising and retracting sails. Another feature of the system is the 360-degree rotating mast. The captain simply turns the mast out of the wind to raise or lower the sails. Thanks to this, it is no longer necessary to put the trimaran in head-to-head to raise the sails.
Entertainment and recreation
The Trident will feature an entire retractable bathing platform across the entire width of the main building. On board there will also be two large tank pools, two spas in the main building, in the bow and stern.
The interior space has a tiered layout, curved walls and many large windows providing an almost panoramic view. Master cabin 210 sq. m is located in the bow of the central hull, two additional master cabins are located in the bow of the side hulls. Guest cabins are designed for 26 guests, and crew cabins for 20 people. The bar and entertainment area on the upper deck includes floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the surrounding seascape.

The full size garage can accommodate 2 tenders, one Nemo U-Boat Worx with a special launch system and other water toys. The Trident can cruise at 14 knots for 6,700 nautical miles on diesel fuel alone. The cruising range is significantly increased when switching to the control of hybrid diesel-electric systems and sailing weapons. Under sail alone, the yacht can reach a speed of 12 knots.
We are not sure that such a concept will be implemented, but it looks very interesting. In the event that Steve Kozloff finds investors, it will be just a fantastic trimaran.
