The Blackstone Group has appointed Camper & Nicholsons Marinas to manage St Katharine Docks in central London.

The historic docks located near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge will have to undergo a thorough renovation and restoration program. By the end of this year Camper & Nicholsons plans to launch a marina under its own brand, adding 170 yacht berths and increasing the length of accepted yachts to 40+ meters.
Camper & Nicholsons already works in Cesme Marina (Cesme Marina) in Turkey, Grand Harbor (Grand harbor) in Malta and Port Louis (Port Louis Marina) in Grenada.
Since the acquisition of the marina in late 2014, the Blackstone Group has been working to bring the marina to a new level. Camper & Nicholsons instructed to conduct a detailed audit and make a proposal for its reconstruction and take it into full management and operation.
Dan Hughes, Director of Business Development Camper & Nicholsons (C & N) Marinas said: “We worked closely with Blackstone on a new vision for the docks to develop a truly international port as part of a thriving coastal community at the heart of one of the world's largest cities. Plans include improved marina layout and jetty plan, better conditions both ashore and afloat for yachts and sailors.
London, a city with 24-hour activity. And the renovation of one of the oldest marinas is helping to meet the needs of boaters arriving in London.
