The new unusual concept of a gigayacht with a very interesting design could not but attract attention. Yacht Ono is a cross between a yacht and a UFO
Echoes of the distant future
To be frank, this concept is unlikely to be implemented. However, despite this fact, such a result of the flight of fancy of the designer Aras Kazar is very interesting. Reversible nose, helipad, wedge-shaped body - a demonstration of what human engineering genius is capable of.
Still, Ono claims to be a likely implementation. Kazar put in the effort and created a really interesting concept. Such futuristic ideas have always been in place in all areas of human life. Perhaps one of the architects of the near future will be inspired by him and create something truly revolutionary.
Aras has been designing "minimalist, futuristic and elegant" yachts for almost his entire career. He now says the new 492-foot yacht should look like "an unidentified object hovering over the horizon."
Unusual shape and other features
The yacht, called Ono, has a wedge-shaped silhouette with a sharp reverse bow and a sleek superstructure that tapers aft. This creates the illusion that "the boat seems to appear from the depths of the ocean."
Another distinctive feature is the huge bow deck. It is so long that it has a helipad. There is also plenty to do on the aft deck. There is a pool here that cascades down to the beach "club" below. A few more flights down is a large bathing platform. Here you can drink a cocktail on the beach, as well as get direct access to the ocean.
Ono is made of aluminum, fiberglass and tempered glass and has a slightly menacing black appearance. Both from afar and up close, the yacht seems very futuristic. We dare to suggest that Darth Vader from Star Wars would be happy with such an addition to his space fleet.
Kazar also provided for several technical elements, such as solar panels on the roof, which can generate environmentally friendly electricity. It is also assumed the presence of a couple of folding platforms in the middle of the vessel. Inside the two terraces there will be a garage for water toys and a cinema.
On board, according to Kazar, Ono resembles a "floating villa". The yacht has three master cabins, five cabins and separate cabins for the crew. Of course, there is plenty of space on board both inside and out.
Kazar says he has several more simple projects on the horizon, which will be unveiled in the coming months. It will be interesting to watch the demonstration of the designer's more mundane projects.
