Shipyard Rossinavi presented a new concept. The Oneiric super-catamaran follows the trends - futuristic design and emphasis on eco-yachting. Interparus decided to look into the peculiarities of this interesting project!
New concept from Rossinavi
The new multihull will be named Oneiric. The supercat was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA). This graceful kata combines the engineering expertise of an Italian shipyard with the distinctive aesthetic of London tradition.
The supercat is equipped with three levels of solar panels that generate electricity and store it in on-board batteries. It also features an AI-controlled CPU that monitors energy levels, battery health, and other environmental factors to ensure maximum efficiency. During a one-day cruise, the ship can operate 100 percent of the time in all-electric mode with zero emissions and noise, according to the shipyard.
On transatlantic voyages, the yacht can operate in fully electric mode for up to 70 percent of the time of the entire passage (!). Rossinavi claims this saves about 44 tonnes of CO2 emissions compared to a conventional superyacht.
Another interesting feature is that the cat can be used as one large battery. Thanks to the capacity of the batteries, Oneiric will provide electricity to a small villa on the coast. To do this, the cat must be moored and connected to the mains of the house.
Oneiric design
The body of the kat features ZHA's trademark flowing lines and asymmetrical curves, which together create a futuristic silhouette. Oneiric is Rossinavi's new green technology flagship.
Curvy lines and interesting shapes have been carried over into the interior. The accommodations consist of multiple living and dining areas, an elegant media room, four guest cabins, four crew cabins and one master cabin. The master cabin offers a 180-degree view.
Since the ship's tonnage affects energy efficiency, the materials used in all areas are specially lightened. Many of them are also recyclable and reusable. The décor is elegant and contemporary.
Outside, in the stern of the vessel, there is a bathing platform and a jacuzzi. There is also an outdoor seating area on the tank. Tired of the scorching sun? Well, the tank can be covered with a special retractable canopy. As a result, we get an interesting concept that has the right to life. It will be interesting to see the implementation of this project and see it in action!
