A leading bank in Qatar and a regulated investment fund acquired the OneOcean Port Vell (OOPV) Marina in Barcelona from Salamanca Group.

Bank QInvest LLC, is a leading Qatari investment bank and one of the most prominent financial institutions of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Bank bought OneOcean Port Vell Barcelona through its subsidiary BOH LLC together with its partner, a regulated investment fund owned by the Vagit Alekperov family.
The purchase was made by agreement with the current owner Salamanca Group, a private commercial banking business that has been actively developing OneOcean Port Vell and turned it into a leading marina in Barcelona. The Salamanca Group decided that it would now be advisable to attract strategic owners who have a specialized and local presence in Barcelona to invest and develop one of the city's most recognizable symbols.
In this respect QInvest has an extensive and successful investment experience in real estate and infrastructure in Barcelona. A dedicated team bringing together the combined expertise of VC partners will focus on managing and overseeing growth OneOcean Port Vell to maintain and develop its positioning in the European superyacht marina market.
