The Kharkiv yacht club was shelled!

The war, alas, continues. And continues to affect all aspects of life. Most recently - in May - the Mykolaiv Yacht Club in the Ship District of the city suffered from shelling. This Tuesday, the Kharkiv Yacht Club in the village was shelled. Old Saltov, in the vicinity of Kharkiv.

Consequences of shelling

On July 5, 2022, another shelling of the Kharkiv region was carried out. As a result of mortar shelling, the boathouse of the Kharkiv Regional Central Yacht Club was destroyed. According to local activists, the yacht club lost almost all the dinghies and motor boats in the boathouse.

The text of the message (published on Facebook, the author's spelling is preserved; translated from Ukrainian):

“These are the remains of our boathouse!

Everything burned down! 99% sails of Kharkiv were in this hangar, starting with "the Optimists" that competed at the All-Ukrainian competitions, "Laser", "Cadets", "Ultra", "470 Flying Dutchmen".

It hurts so much to realize!

But we have very good people and a strong nation, I think we will revive a new and better yacht club!

We will still compete in competitions with children!

Everything will be Ukraine🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦”

We believe that the yacht club will be restored and will continue to function! The main thing is that yachtsmen and their young students are safe - the future of sailing in Ukraine. Let's build new boats!
