Pascoe International announces the sale of the world's first all-electric e-Limousine powerboat. The first model is in production and will be delivered in 2023.
In general about e-Limousine
The e-Limousine itself was announced back in 2014. Pascoe International took six years of research and now the electric version is ready!
The main stumbling block was electric motors. The designers wanted to create a fully electric boat and still have good speed.

In the process, they have done extensive research and development. This has affected the areas of case design, motor integration, battery performance and overall system optimization. Partners include automotive electrification specialists, propeller developers, battery manufacturers and leading university research groups.
Of course, such a boat will fully show itself in the “Cruising superyacht + boat for pleasure” combination. But the creators claim that the e-Limousine can also be used as a standalone unit.
What about ride quality?
According to the press release, the boat will have a speed of 40 knots with a maximum range of 60 miles. And the main feature is the absence of any emissions to the atmosphere and water.

Tom Southern, Vice President of Pascoe International, says: “The implementation of the zero-emission e-Limousine at the point of use will be a defining moment for the superyacht industry.
e-Limousine will truly start a new wave of luxury water travel. It will be a matter of time before the superyacht sector phases out combustion propulsion systems.”
Whether this is so, we will find out in the near future.
Why is the e-Limousine a potentially successful product?
For yacht owners and their guests, the attractiveness of the e-Limousine is not only related to the environmental part of the issue. Significant fuel economy is at the forefront. This is achieved by charging the e-Limousine from the ship's own power generation systems.

In addition, Pascoe International has teamed up with experts in the field of engines and power plants. The collaboration resulted in a new drive system. It provides optimum propulsion efficiency while eliminating the noise and vibration associated with conventional sterndrive.
With this drive, precise docking can be done using the joystick. In addition, the designers managed to increase the level of comfort inside the boat in an unprecedented way.
