Concept: sailing yacht Felci 63 Scuderia

New project by Felci Yacht Design 

Felci Yacht Design presents its new project, the Felci 63 Scuderia, another breathtaking yacht. She impressed us from the very first sketches. First of all, I would like to call Felci 63 not a yacht, but a real cruise liner. The shipyard even announced a planned launch. It is planned for the summer of 2023. 

Felci Yacht Design strives to bring as many new ideas and innovations to their boats as possible. The carefully crafted hull of the Felci 63 Scuderia guarantees a low level of roll without sacrificing driving performance. The boat, by the way, is created with the expectation of long cruises.

Design and concept

One of the fundamental pillars in the creation of the yacht was the emphasis on good sailing performance and ease of handling. The shipyard really wanted to create a boat that was pleasant to drive. No less important was the "seating" places for guests. It was also important to combine the interior and exterior of the yacht.

Overall, Felci Yacht Design has paid great attention to the “dialogue” between indoor and outdoor spaces. The result is a good synergy of colors and shapes. Thanks to this, the designers managed to maintain everything in a single style, it looks catchy and modern. 

Large cabins, wide beds, plenty of headroom, functional lockers, spacious galley and lavatories make the Felci 63 Scuderia a truly innovative and elegant boat.

“While years of experience is always a key factor in every project,” says designer Umberto Felci, “each element has been re-analyzed and rethought through intensive formal and functional research. It is a challenging job born from the desire to “say” something new and to make our yachts more and more efficient. We end up with a “cross-cutting work” on the whole project, which is completed each time only when the form and its aesthetic value also accurately reflect the function to be performed.”

Creation of the Felci 63 Scuderia

The construction of the Felci 63 Scuderia was entrusted to the Italian shipyard Adria Sail. Felci Yacht Design has been cooperating with her for many years. Adria Sail also created the Scuderia brand. The shipyard made a name for itself with the creation of the famous and award-winning fast cruiser Scuderia 50. 

By the way, the hull and deck of the new yacht are made using the technology of the so-called. "sandwich" made of carbon fiber laminated with epoxy resins. This is an extremely complex process that will create a very strong and lightweight body. The peculiarity of the technology is that all structures are laminated and poured immediately. 

Finally, the rigging and deck equipment are designed so that only two people can steer the yacht. Thus, the owner will not have to constantly rely on the captain, but will be able to invite one person on board from time to time to manage the yacht. That is why Felci has limited the yacht's rigging to four sails, namely a full-leech mainsail mounted on an electrically powered boom and three halyards.
