There are many yachts with an amazing history, but among them there are always those that I want to highlight especially strongly. Among them is the Borkumriff II - not just a boat, but a real legend.
Borkumriff II is a unique 31-meter schooner. The yacht was put up for sale and will be an excellent purchase for a person inclined to adventure and luxury. This boat is the second in the legendary series of traditional sailing yachts.
The elegance and convenience of the Borkumriff II
The boat embodies the perfect combination of classic style and comfort. Undoubtedly, it is ideal for both long-distance adventures and short cruises. Borkumriff II sailed around the world, and before that, crossed the Atlantic four times.
Flawless representation
Firstly, the yacht is in perfect condition. German shipbuilder Lubbe Voss created the Borkumriff II in 1982. In 2009, the yacht underwent an extensive 18 month refurbishment.
Secondly, during the reconstruction, all onboard systems were replaced and / or updated. After 10 years (2019-2020), the yacht's sails, rigging were updated, the hull was repainted and the salon was completely renewed.
There is enough space for everyone at Borkumriff II!
By the way, there are four cabins on board, including a master suite with a double bed, one double cabin and two double cabins. It can accommodate up to eight guests, and two more cabins can accommodate up to four crew members.
The Borkumriff II is powered by a powerful John Deere engine and has a top speed of 10 knots and a cruising speed of 8 knots. Cruising range is about 2,200 miles. The length of the vessel is 31 m, width - 6 m, draft - 3 m.
Timeless style
In the cockpit, you can enjoy a quiet breakfast over the comfortable L-shaped sofa. From here you can go aft to the secluded master cabin or forward to the dining room, where you can sit comfortably at the large dining table and TV.
The galley is equipped with first-class Miele and AEG equipment. In addition, for long journeys, there is ample storage space for provisions.
As with all elegant interiors, the luxurious en-suite guest cabins are paneled in wood, varnished in warm colors. For example, they boast ample free space, stereo, TV and air conditioning.
The yacht is listed for sale by brokerage firm YachtFull and is currently in North Holland, about an hour's drive from Schiphol Airport.
