A fireplace by itself is not the most trivial task, even on land, and installing it on a yacht can be a real problem. There are a lot of details to consider, from technical specifications to fireplace style. Despite this, the fireplace is perfect to warm up on cold evenings and while away the time with the team.
Stefania
The interiors of the yacht Stefania are made in an Art Deco style. The yacht was created by Dynamiq. Its interior is no less luxurious than its gilded exterior. It feels like the Great Gatsby himself was involved in the creation of the yacht.
Moreover, the style is clearly visible in the dining area of the main salon. An imposing dining table with gold trim was also installed there. And behind the table is a luxurious mirrored wall with a modern, fully functional fireplace.
“Real fire has become possible thanks to bioethanol technology,” explains Sergey Dobroserdov, founder of Dynamiq. And above all, the fireplace will also prove useful in the cooler climates that Stefania can achieve thanks to a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles.
Flying fox
The 136-meter Flying Fox superyacht has five fireplaces on board! They all run on ethanol or real wood. There are also two fireplaces on the open decks for cool evenings.
What's more, these fireplaces help create a cozy, homely atmosphere throughout the most expensive charter superyacht. The design of this miracle was developed by Mark Berryman. Project manager Florian Preuss explains that they all work “like normal home fireplaces,” except that insulated chimneys draw smoke up through the mast.
Ragnar
The exploration yacht Ragnar was created for cruising the cool waters of the northern countries.
“The owner loves British style pubs,” says designer Charlie Baker. It is therefore not surprising that the upper saloon is decorated with a traditional steam fireplace, built of wood and gray stone. Fireplaces have also been installed in the cabins to create a homely experience throughout the 68m superyacht.
Avocette III
The Avocette III has been refurbished by Bill Morong. It has retained the classic 1930s exterior design from old drawings. But the interior has been completely redone.
The main difference was a working stainless steel fireplace, which the owner himself dug up in a small London store. By the way, the fireplace is the centerpiece of the saloon in the middle of the yacht.
Haida 1929
The fireplace in the saloon of this 66.5-meter yacht is only one of the three. There are also fireplaces in the master and wardroom.
Moreover, the fireplaces aboard Haida 1929 “burn small blocks that look like biofuels; this is the same kind of fireplace that is installed in apartments in New York! " Captain Daan de Witt explains. Unlike some onboard "fireplaces" that use steam and LED lighting to create a fire effect, the biofuel used on the 1929 Haida creates real warmth.
Amadea
The 106-meter superyacht Amadea has a classic interiors. This is especially evident in the salon, where there is a white marble fireplace decorated with gold details.
The central area of the yacht is filled with comfort and warmth when the fire is made. Another fireplace and comfortable seating area are located on the huge aft deck. This is the perfect place to keep warm on cool nights.
Kismet
You will warm up by any of the four fireplaces aboard the Kismet, but our personal favorite is the fireplace on the main deck. This is by far the best place to gather and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif.
What's more, launched in July 2014, the 95m has been nominated for the 2015 World Superyacht Awards, placing first in the Displacement Motor Yacht category.
Having already built the first yacht, Kismet, now called Global, owner Shahid Kahn knew what it took when he decided to build a new, even bigger and better yacht: a winning combination.
Spirit Of The C's
When the 60m sailing yacht Perini Navi Spirit of The C's underwent a refurbishment in 2014-2016, one of the new design elements on board was the fireplace.
The Rome-based architect Michela Reverberi, who was in charge of transforming the interior, left more open space in the main saloon, but opted to add a long, thin gas fireplace as an accent that, with its elegant design, hardly weighs on the space.
Legend
Owner Jan Werkerk was instrumental in the revival of this icebreaking exploration yacht at Icon Yachts. His Antarctic cruise plans required plenty of cozy spaces to keep warm after a day out in the cold.
Aboard the 77.4-meter Legend, the most notable example is the main deck fireplace, with ornate fish sculptures and dark wood contrasting with white seating, but this remarkable and rugged sailing yacht also features several Opti-myst steam-powered fireplaces ...
Far niente
Panoramic views aren't the only feature of the Westport 130 Far Niente's overhead saloon. A lovely electric fireplace also piques interest.
This superyacht is built from fiberglass and has a top speed of 24 knots. She is the brainchild of William Garden and has been designed by the Westport design team in collaboration with Halffman Designs. The yacht can accommodate up to ten guests in five cabins, as well as seven crew members.
Serenity
The spacious living room aboard the 40-meter yacht Serenity was created in the style of a true gentlemen's club. It has a fully stocked bar.
However, it is the superyacht's fireplace that attracts all the attention. Its flickering electric glow is visible from all directions. Launched in 2016 by IAG Yachts, Serenity has been decorated internally and externally by Evan C. Marshall.
Seren
At the bow of the Serene dining room is a magnificent glass-enclosed gas fireplace. This 134m Fincantieri yacht has been designed by Reymond Langton Design and has an interior space of 4,500 square meters.
Other amenities on the yacht's seven decks include a hangar and two helipads, a large seawater pool that can accommodate service vessels and a submarine for diving to a depth of 100 meters.
Attessa IV
In the saloon of this yacht there is a heavy marble English fireplace. Make yourself comfortable!
Built in 1999 by Hayashikane, Attessa IV has been expertly refurbished by loving owner Dennis Washington, for whom redesigning yachts is his passion, pleasure and relaxation.
The puzzle he worked on was how to make such a large yacht cozy both inside and out. And he did it! The fireplace was the key decision.
Solandge
Another marble fireplace! Launched in 2013, Superyacht Solandge can accommodate 12 guests in eight cabins, including a dedicated (!) Deck for the owner.
Designed by Eileen Rodriguez, the contemporary interior of this 85m yacht features classic touches and a mix of rare materials, including 49 types of stone and 33 exotic woods. Solandge is also notable for the fact that it has two in-theaters on board.
Elysian
Interior designer Raymond Langton made Elysian feel like a cozy home.
Designed by Espen Eino, this 66m yacht is one of the smallest superyachts ever launched. But it boasts high-tech and very original finishes as it was built strictly for family use.
