Beneteau presented the sailing yacht Oceanis Yacht 60 in Cannes. Let's figure out what are the pros and cons of the yacht, as well as what solutions the shipyard applied in the new boat.
Lineup update
It seems that the direct reference for the Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60 was the Oceanis Yacht 62 from 2016. In fact, the shipyard, so to speak, replaced the 62nd model with a more recent 60th - and the changes are really noticeable. Oceanis Yacht 60 has become a little smaller and an order of magnitude more elegant than its “big sister”.

The freeboard has become lower, and the displacement is five tons less. It is obvious that Beneteau decided to peep Dufour Solutions and with a shorter hull length, leave roomy living quarters.
The new design of the Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60 differs from the classic solutions of the shipyard. This time, driving performance and living space are at the forefront. As for the general design solutions, then Roberto Biscontini came to the rescue. Recall that this person is responsible for the creation of the Beneteau First 53 and Oceanis Yacht 54 hulls.

Public trials for journalists of several yachting publications were carried out under the mainsail and genoa with a degree of overlap of 105%. The bowsprit, by the way, is quite long for a yacht of this length.
Of the interesting things on the transom is a platform for swimming on an electric drive. When fully lowered, the tender garage is accessible. By default, in stock configuration, the yacht is equipped with a Williams 280 Jet RIB tender. Also available with the Highfield 290 RIB tender.

Under the side protopchins there are two large lockers. There are also small lockers under the cockpit benches and under the helmsmen's seats. The seats themselves are on both sides of the cockpit and are L-shaped.
Rescue equipment (raft) is located in the bow of the cockpit. On the one hand, the raft is laid in a good place. On the other hand, it will have to be moved far enough aft when in use.

The boat has an optional hardtop with a movable fabric center section. It can be easily opened and allowed access to sunlight. An impressive sprayhood (spray breaker) will reliably protect you from splashing water. The cockpit also has plenty of handy handrails. The downside is that they themselves are not very long.

On the yacht you will find three cabins with three bathrooms. There is also a master cabin in the bow. In the salon there is a comfortable sofa on one side and armchairs around the coffee table. The peculiarity of the table is that it can be expanded and get a full dining table for eight people. The sofa is also a surprise - it can be lowered and used as a bed.
The navigation table is on the starboard side. Behind it, you can comfortably sit in a bucket seat. The table is suitable not only for laying routes. You can safely work behind him if live on board a yacht or suddenly needed your skills in remote work.

The galley is located closer to the forecastle. There is a three-burner stove with an extractor hood and a dishwasher. On the left side are food storage areas. You will also find refrigerators there.
Alas, the galley is not very convenient to use when listing on the starboard tack. So in swimming there may be some problems with cooking. There is one more feature "for an amateur" - all the interior rooms are not on the same level. The shipyard claims that "the consumer will not notice the difference."

The standard volume of tanks is relatively modest. A capacity of 500 liters has been allocated for fuel, and 800 for water. The yacht is designed more for cruises in the Mediterranean than for long ocean crossings.
